В августе нынешнего года индийский космический аппарат прилунился в рамках миссии “Чандраян-3”. В результате Индия стала четвертой страной, совершившей посадку на поверхности спутника. Но самое интересное в этой мисси — место посадки. Как сообщает Индийская организация космических исследований (ISRO), посадочный модуль сел в районе Южного полюса Луны. Место было выбрано исходя из соображений, что в районе полюса может быть лед. Впоследствии он и был обнаружен луноходом Прагьян. Также благодаря этой миссии впервые удалось измерить температуру на южном полюсе спутника, зафиксировать лунотрясение и сделать много других открытий. Однако некоторые ученые относятся к некоторым заявлениям ISRO скептически. Например, китайский ученый Оуян Цзыюань, которого называют отцом лунной программы Китая, заявил, что индийский посадочный модуль “Викрам” не совершал посадку в на южном полюсе Луны.

В результате миссии “Чандраян-3”, Индия оказалась первой страной, чей аппарат совершил посадку вблизи южного полюса. Причем индийский посадочный модуль побил рекорд Китая в плане близости к полюсу. Однако по мнению Оуян Цзыюаня, достижения миссии “Чандраян-3” сильно преувеличены.
Разумеется, отрицать сам факт приземления на Луну ни кто не стал, так как это было бы глупо. Но в интервью газете Science Times Оуян Цзыюань сообщил, что индийский посадочный модуль “Викрам” находится далеко от южного полюса. Приземление произошло на 69 градусах южной широты, в то время как южный полюс на Луне начинается между 88,5 и 90 градусами широты.

Также Оуян Цзыюань сообщил, что Индия значительно отстает от Китая в плане своих возможностей в космической отрасли. По его мнению, место посадки аппарата находится не на южном полюсе, не в районе южного полюса, и даже не вблизи региона южного полюса Луны. Посадочный модуль приземлился примерно в 600 километрах от Южного полюса, где его заметил орбитальный аппарат НАСА.

Возможно, с технической точки зрения, формулировка действительно неправильная. Но, в любом случае, индийский посадочный модуль Викрам установил рекорд, так как приземлился ближе к южному полюсу, чем любой другой аппарат до него. Напомним, что попытка России посадить космический корабль вблизи южного полюса Луны закончилась неудачей. Китайский же аппарат “Чанъэ-4” приземлившийся в 2019 году на 45 градусов южной широты, то есть дальше индийского посадочного модуля.
Как мы уже сказали выше, страны пытаются приблизиться к южному полюсу Луны вовсе не для того, чтобы установить рекорд, а в целях получения доступа к ресурсам, которые упростят строительство лунных баз. Например, водород позволит заправлять ракеты прямо на Луне. Правда, в последнее время по заявлениям Китая не менее ценным ресурсом могут быть гигантские пещеры, расположенные вдали от южного полюса. Китайские ученые планируют их использовать как убежища для строительства лунных баз.

Миссия “Чандраян-3” изначально была рассчитана на проведение исследований в течение одного лунного дня (примерно две земные недели), так как аппараты (посадочный модуль и луноход) питаются солнечной энергией. Однако оставалась надежда, что они смогут пережить “спячку” и с наступлением дня снова выйдут на связь. В этом случае исследовательская миссия продлилась бы еще на две недели.

Луноход перешел в режим сна 2 сентября, а спустя два дня выключился и посадочный модуль. Попытки пробудить аппараты начались 22 сентября. Однако спустя несколько дней связь так и не была установлена. ISRO продолжала пытаться “реанимировать” аппараты, однако шансы снижались с каждым днем. Теперь же можно с уверенностью говорить, что два аппарата миссии “Чандраян-3” заснули навсегда. О новых миссиях ISRO пока не сообщает.
