Освоение космоса
За последние 60 лет человечество отправило в космос множество различных объектов и устройств, каждый из которых сыграл свою роль в освоении космического пространства и в расширении наших знаний о Вселенной. Одними из первых объектов, отправленных в космос, стали спутники – началом космической эры принято считать запуск советского спутника «Спутник-1», который состоялся 4 октября 1957 года. Этот простой аппарат весил всего 83,6 кг и передавал радиосигналы, а его успех открыл новую эпоху в истории человечества.
Стоит ли говорить, что за прошедшие годы количество и разнообразие спутников значительно возросло. Сегодня в космосе функционируют тысячи спутников, выполняющие самые разные задачи: от наблюдения за Землей и метеорологических исследований до обеспечения связи и навигации.

Следующим шагом в освоении космоса стало отправление космических зондов и межпланетных аппаратов. Первым успешным межпланетным зондом стал советский аппарат «Луна-2», который достиг поверхности Луны в 1959 году. Этот зонд подтвердил возможность доставки аппаратов на другие небесные тела.

С тех пор было отправлено множество зондов к разным планетам и их спутникам, включая Марс, Венеру, Юпитер, Сатурн, Уран и Нептун. Особого внимания заслуживают американские зонды серии «Вояджер», запущенные в 1977 году. Эти аппараты не только исследовали внешние планеты Солнечной системы, но и продолжают отправлять данные с границ нашей системы на протяжении более 40 лет. От телескопов до МКС
Одним из важнейших достижений в освоении космоса стала отправка на орбиту космических телескопов. Наиболее известным из них является «Хаббл», запущенный в 1990 году. Именно этот телескоп позволил сделать множество открытий в области астрономии и получить изображения дальних галактик с беспрецедентной четкостью.
Кроме «Хаббла», в космос были отправлены и другие аппараты, в том числе «Кеплер», который занимался поиском экзопланет и «Спитцер», специализировавшийся на инфракрасных наблюдениях. В 2021 году на орбиту был выведен телескоп «Джеймс Уэбб», который является преемником «Хаббла» и обладает еще более мощными возможностями для изучения Вселенной.

Хотя о космических исследованиях принято говорить серьезно, есть вещи которые люди делают просто так. Ну или просто потому, что могут. По словам космического археолога и искусствоведа Джастина Уолша из Калифорнийского университета, некоторые предметы, отправленные в космос, представляют собой культурную ценность, включая радиопередачи, рекламные сообщения и артефакты. Например, астронавт миссии NASA «Аполлон—14» Алан Шепард в 1971 году тайно пронес два мяча для гольфа на поверхность Луны и начал размахивать ими прямо там.
Как выяснилось позже, Шепард спрятал мячи для гольфа в носках, а от клюшки позаимствовал ее металлический наконечник. Закончив с основной миссией, американский астронавт прикрепил наконечник клюшки к инструменту для сбора образцов грунта и ударил по каждому из мячей. Какой бы забавной не казалась нам эта ситуация, сам факт того, что Шепард смог поднять мячи в воздух уже впечатляет: он попал по одному из них с третьего раза, будучи в скафандре весом 80 килограмм.

Учитывая масштабы космических миссий и объектов, по воле случая оказавшихся в космическом пространстве, вопрос о том, что делают на земной орите останки динозавров не кажется глупым. Более того, кости этих древних животных запускали в космос по меньшей мере четыре раза, последний раз на борту ракеты Blue Origin в 2021 году. В данном случае это были останки дромеозавра – птицеподобного хищника. Когда же останки вернулись на Землю, то были проданы на благотворительном аукционе.

Ну а впервые останки динозавра отправились в полет в 1985 году на борту космического шаттла «Челленджер» (кусочек позвонка и яичная скорлупа детеныша Майазавра). Кости вернулись на Землю примерно через восемь дней. Затем в 1998 году за ними последовал череп представителя вида Coelophysis, который был доставлен на борт космического челнока «Индевор», а также останки тираннозавра рекса в ходе испытательного полета аппарата NASA «Орион» (в 2014 году).

Пицца и краска
Если вы думаете, что человеческие останки и кости динозавров на околоземной орбите – это предел фантазии, не торопитесь с выводами. В 2001 году в ходе рекламной кампании Pizza Hut использовала ракету-носитель для доставки пиццы российскому экипажу на Международную космическую станцию (МКС). Стоимость доставки, к слову, составила почти миллион долларов, а весь мир наслаждался рекламным роликом по тв, в котором космонавты ели пиццу.
Пребывание в космосе притупляет вкусовые рецепторы, поэтому пицца была приготовлена с добавлением соли и специй, а также использовалась обычная салями, потому что обычные пепперони заплесневели бы к моменту прибытия на орбиту, – отмечают специалисты.

Помимо самой дорогой доставки пиццы в истории человечества, в космосе побывали… образцы красной краски, которая используется на автомобилях Ferrari — цвет под названием “Rosso Corsa” был запечатан в стекло и отправлен на Красную планету с космическим аппаратом ESA «Марс Экспресс».
Что, в целом, не так удивительно, как запуск в космос автомобиля Илоном Маском.
