Ни один частный посадочный модуль еще не приземлялся на поверхность луны. В январе 2024 года частная компания Astrobotic отправила к спутнику Земли свой космический аппарат Peregrine One, который должен был прилуниться, однако миссия провалилась, так как возникла утечка топлива. Теперь же лунный посадочный модуль собирается запустить компания SpaceX Илона Маска совместно с Intuitive Machines. Как сообщается, роботизированный космический корабль Nova-C на днях был помещен в обтекатель полезной нагрузки ракеты Falcon 9. Это значит, что подготовка к старту идет полным ходом, и до запуска осталось совсем не долго. Скорее всего пуск состоится уже в феврале.

Зачем SpaceX отправит посадочный модуль на Луну
Если лунная миссия IM-1 компаний будет более удачной, чем провалившаяся в январе Peregrine One, лунный посадочный модуль Nova-C окажется возле ударного кратера Малаперт А. Он находится в пределах 10 градусов широты от южного полюса Луны.
Напомним, что участок южного полюса в последнее время вызывает большой интерес у ученых. Считается, что здесь содержится большое количество водяного льда. Ранее мы рассказывали, что запасы льда могут содержаться в “холодных ловушках”, то есть участках, защищенных от прямых солнечных людей. Лед может быть ценным ресурсом для строительства будущих лунных баз. Он может обеспечить их не только водой, но и водородным топливом. Напомним, что в августе 2023 года возле Южного полюса прилунился индийский посадочный модуль в рамках миссии “Чандраян-3”, с целью изучения этого участка спутника.
Посадочный модуль Nova-C IM-1, получивший название “Одиссей”, имеет на борту различное научное оборудование НАСА в рамках программы агентства Commercial Lunar Payload Services, или сокращенно CLPS. Согласно этой программе, частные роботизированные аппараты будут использованы для сбора научных данных о Луне. Это должно проложит путь к будущим лунным миссиям НАСА и постоянному присутствию людей на Луне. Напомним, что агентство в настоящее время работает над этим в рамках программы “Артемида”.

Оборудование НАСА IM-1 включает в себя лазерный датчик спуска и приземления, систему камер, для съемки шлейфа, возникающего при приземлении аппарата. Кроме того, будет протестирован новый датчик топлива, показывающий остаток топлива в баках посадочного модуля.
Казалось бы, что сложного в измерении топлива, ведь таким датчиком оснащен каждый автомобиль. Однако на самом в невесомости это нетривиальная задача, но теперь она будет решена. Кроме того, “Одиссей” содержит на борту шесть коммерческих грузов для различных клиентов, о чем сообщает компания Intuitive Machines.

Спустя 50 лет США возвращаются на Луну
“Одиссей” имеет шанс стать первым в истории частным космическим кораблем, отправившимся на Луну. Успех будет способствовать наступлению “лунной эпохи”. Кроме того, посадка модуля ознаменует собой возврат США на Луну спустя 50 лет. Американская миссия “Аполлон”, в рамках которой 12 человек побывали на поверхности Луны, завершилась в 1975 году.

Напомним, что 19 января Япония смогла доставить свой роботизированный посадочный модуль SLIM, в результате чего стала пятой страной, разместившей зонд на поверхности Луны. Другие четыре страны — США, Китай, Индия и Советский Союз. Попытка же России отправить на Луну свой аппарат “Луна-25” в 2023 году окончилась неудачей, о чем мы рассказывали ранее. Он рухнул, не долетев до поверхности 400 метров.
