Как происходит облысение у мужчин
Ученые полагают, что облысение у мужчин связано с гормоном, известным как ДГТ (дигидротестостерон). Этот гормон возникает из тестостерона — ежедневно около 10% этого мужского гормона преобразуется в ДГТ. Как поясняет дерматолог Эндрю Мессенджера, сотрудник Шеффилдского университета в Великобритании, волосяные фолликулы на коже реагируют на гормон ДГТ, а именно — уменьшаются в размерах. В конечном итоге уменьшение волосяных луковиц приводит к выпадению волос.
Отсюда возникает вопрос — почему в таком случае у мужчин остаются волосы на затылке и по бокам, но выпадают на макушке? По какой-то причине фолликулы на этих участках головы не реагируют на ДГТ. В результате возникает характерная лысина.
Но, что еще более интересно, на других частях тела половые гормоны приводят к обратному эффекту. То есть у людей, а также животных, мужские половые гормоны “укрепляют” волосы, в результате чего они становятся темнее, толще и длиннее. Поэтому у мужчин после полового созревания появляется борода.

Можно ли остановить облысение?
