По мнению многих ученых, как уже было сказано выше, температура в 2024 году достигнет и даже превысит 1,5°C в сравнении с доиндустриальным периодом. При этом планету ожидают волны тепла с температурой по «влажному термометру» свыше +35 градусов, о чем сообщает издание ScinceAlert. Если же температура повысится до 2°C, как показали некоторые исследования, температура по “влажному термометру” будет регулярно превышать 35°C.

Температура в 2024 году будет превышать предел человеческой выносливости
Как известно, волны жары и без того убивали огромное количество людей. Особенно сильно от них страдают люди с хроническими заболеваниями сердечно-сосудистой системы, а также психическими заболеваниями. Но при достижении температуры в 35 градусов по влажному термометру, на открытом солнце не смогут находиться даже абсолютно здоровые люди.
Следует также понимать, что температура повышается на планете неравномерно. То есть в некоторых регионах средняя температура повысится до гораздо более высокого уровня чем 1,5 градуса.
Изучая данные с метеостанций, расположенных в разных частях мира, ученые обнаружили, что многие регионы гораздо быстрее приближаются к смертельному порогу жары и влажности. В некоторых жарких и влажных регионах, таких как прибрежные районы Объединенных Арабских Эмиратов, температура по влажному термометру уже периодически превышает 35°С. Соответственно, еще большее повышение температуры станет для таких регионов поистине смертоносным.
Морские волны тепла уничтожат биоразнообразие
Последний год наблюдается резкий рост температуры воды в океане. В 2023 году были побиты температурные рекорды за всю историю наблюдений. По мнению экспертов, это может привести к гибели морских экосистем. Под угрозой находятся в первую очередь тропические коралловые рифы. Считается, что они содержат больше видов, чем любая другая экосистема.
Как сообщают ученые, кораллы приспособились жить в определенном температурном диапазоне. При изменении температуры кораллы начинают обесцвечиваться, то есть теряют красочные водоросли, которые живут в их тканях. В конечном итоге они начинают погибать, а вместе с ними и все организмы, которые живут в рифах.
Надо сказать, что изменение климата уже привело к увеличению частоты морских волн тепла. Согласно одному из исследований, когда температура на планете превысит 1,5°C в сравнении с доиндустриальным периодом, 99% рифов будут слишком часто подвергаться воздействию чрезмерной температуры. Это чревато не только их гибелью, но также продовольственным кризисом для жителей прибрежных регионов. От него могут пострадать около миллиарда человек.
Разумеется, экстремально высокая температура приведет не только к волнам тепла в море, но и другим катаклизмам. Например, пожары, ураганы, смертоносные торнадо станут еще более интенсивными и частыми.
Что происходит с климатом в 2024 году
Ранее мы рассказывали, что нынешнее повышение температуры, в том числе и ожидаемая жара в 2024 году, связана с явлением Эль-Ниньо в комбинации с глобальным потеплением климата, а также повышением температуры в океане. С одной стороны, это хорошая новость, так как с приходом Ла-Нинья температура на планете немного снизится. Однако нынешний год покажет, что будет происходить с Землей, когда средняя температура стабильно будет превышать 1,5 градуса в сравнении с доиндустриальным периодом.
По мнению ученых, стабильное повышение температуры на 1,5 градуса станет переломным моментом. То есть в этом случае потепление выйдет из-под контроля, и начнутся необратимые процессы. Вполне возможно, что это произойдет гораздо быстрее, чем ученые предполагали ранее.
