Дело в том, что еще ранее было обнаружено, что изолейцин и его уровень в рационе оказывает серьезное влияние на здоровье людей. Например, одно из исследований показало, что уровень изолейцина, потребляемого человеком, влияет на метаболизм. Люди с высоким индексом массой тела, как правило, потребляют гораздо больше этой аминокислоты, чем те, которые имеют стройную фигуру. Также известно, что метаболизм в свою очередь влияет на продолжительность жизни — чем быстрее он протекает, тем быстрее организм стареет.
Как продлить жизнь правильной диетой
В недавнем исследовании ученые использовали генетически разных мышей, которых разделили на три группы. Одну группу кормили продуктами, которые содержали 20 различных аминокислот, вторая группа получала питание с уменьшенным содержанием этих же аминокислот на две трети. Третья группа получала все эти аминокислоты в полном объеме, за исключением изолейцина, который был уменьшен тоже на две трети.

На момент начала исследования всем мышам было около шести месяцев, что эквивалентно 30-летнему возрасту человека. Всех грызунов не ограничивали в питании — они могли есть столько, сколько хотели, но только ту пищу, которая была предоставлена в рамках их группы.
Как показали результаты исследования, опубликованные в журнале Cell Metabolism, ограничение изолейцина увеличило продолжительность жизни до 33%, правда только у самцов. У самок этот показатель увеличился на 7%. Кроме того, такая диета положительно отразилась на состоянии здоровья мышей и массе их тела. Они не набирали лишний вес, имели более высокий показатель мышечной силы и выносливости. Кроме того, ряд других показателей здоровья тоже был лучше, чем у тех мышей, которые потребляли много этой аминокислоты. Например, лучше были такие показатели, как уровень сахара в крови, выпадение волос, использование хвоста и т.д.

Еще одна интересная особенность, которую обнаружили ученые — мыши, получавшие пищу с низким содержанием изолейцина, потребляли больше калорий, чем остальные, несмотря на то, что оставались более худыми. Вместо того, чтобы набирать вес, они сжигали больше энергии, что позволяло им сохранять нормальную массу тела. Однако уровень их активности практически не изменялся.

Ученые считают, что ограничение изолейцина у людей при помощи диеты либо фармацевтических средств может привести к такому же эффекту, как и у мышей, то есть замедлит старение. Как уже было сказано выше, сам наш организм не производит данную аминокислоту, поэтому получает ее из таких источников, как мясо, яйца, молочные продукты, соевый белок.
Правда, следует учитывать, что полностью от этих продуктов отказываться нельзя. В эксперименте же содержание аминокислот для всех мышей в пределах одной группы было одинаковым. В целом же полученные результаты приближают ученых к пониманию биологических процессов. Однако необходимо еще выяснить, почему изолейцин и его содержание в продуктах оказывают такой эффект. В будущем эти знания можно будет применять на практике.
