Ученые заставили мышей вспомнить «забытые» детское воспоминания
Чтобы провести данное исследование, его авторы вначале определили факторы, которые вызывают так называемую “детскую амнезию”. В результате они обнаружили, что мыши с аутизмом не забывают воспоминания из тех дней, когда они были еще совсем маленькими. Но каком образом аутизм влияет на память?
Адна из них аутизма заключается в чрезмерной активацией иммунной системы матери в момент беременности. Поэтому, чтобы рождались грызуны с аутизмом, ученые стимулировали иммунную систему самок, и это сработало. Стимуляция иммунной системы в итоге предотвратила потерю детских воспоминаний у их потомства.
Причина в том, что иммунитет самки влиял на размер и пластичность специализированных клеток памяти в мозге развивающихся мышей. Обнаружив это, ученые оптически стимулировали те же самые клетки взрослых мышей без аутизма, что позволило им тоже вспомнить детские воспоминания.

Уже давно известно, что мозг каждого человека хранит гораздо больше информации, чем кажется на первый взгляд. Когда мы не можем вспомнить какую-либо информацию, проблема на самом деле связана не с хранением данных, а системой воспроизведения (чтения из памяти). Например, человек, который давно прочитал какую-то книгу или посмотрел фильм, не помним все его детали. Однако, по мере повторного просмотра или чтения книги, забытая информация в памяти начинает всплывать. То есть полученная повторно информация уже не воспринимается как совершенно новая.
Это доказывает тот факт, что даже “забытую” информацию мозг помнит, однако не может воспроизвести без определенной стимуляции. Аналогичная ситуация может быть и с детскими воспоминаниями. Не исключено, что мозг помнит о том, как мы произнесли первое слово, и как провели свой второй день рождения. Однако воспроизвести эти воспоминания он сам по себе не способен.
