Почему в космосе повреждаются почки
По мнению ученых, проблемы с почками у астронавтов возникнут по двум причинам. Главной из них являются галактические космические лучи (ГКЛ), или попросту космическое излучение. Кроме того, свое негативное влияние оказывает и невесомость, а точнее — микрогравитация. Об этом ученые сообщают в издании Nature Communications.
Возможно, вам на ум придут астронавты, которые проводят на МКС длительное время, но с их почками ничего не случается. На самом деле МКС не подвергается полному воздействию ГКЛ, так как находится на низкой околоземной орбите под защитой магнитного поля Земли. Но даже на МКС в течение года астронавт получает такую же дозу радиации, как и работник атомной станции в течение пяти лет.

В настоящее время единственными людьми, которые подвергались полному воздействию ГКЛ, являются астронавты, принимавшие участие в миссиях НАСА “Аполлон”, то есть 24 человека, побывавшие на Луне. Но эти путешествия никогда не длились дольше 12 дней. Посещение же Марса потребует пребывания в космосе в течение нескольких лет. В результате астронавты получат колоссальную дозу радиации.
Что происходит с почками в космосе
Как уже было сказано выше, ранее ученые выяснили что происходит с кровью в космосе и ДНК человека, а также другими системами организма. Например, не так давно исследователи обнаружили такое явление, как космическая мигрень, о которой среди космонавтов не принято говорить. Однако почкам уделялось не так много внимания. Поэтому никто не предполагал, что эти органы могут быть сильно повреждены радиацией.
В недавнем исследовании ученые проанализировали функцию почек и связанные с ними биомаркеры более 60 астронавтов. Кроме того, они тщательно изучили почки грызунов, которые побывали на МКС. Также они имитировали эффекты дальних космических путешествий, бомбардируя мышей и крыс дозой радиации, аналогичной той, которую получат астронавты во время путешествия на Марс.

Как выяснилось, серьезные изменения в почках могут произойти у астронавтов менее чем за месяц пребывания в космосе. Они приведут к прогрессирующей и необратимой потере функции почек. Правда, астронавты почувствуют симптомы гораздо позже.
Дело в том, что почки являются такими органами, проблемы с которыми начинают ощущаться только на последних стадиях. Например, почки могут утратить на 75% сою функцию, но при этом человек не почувствует никаких симптомов или они только начнут появляться. Поэтому вполне возможно, что проблемы со здоровьем астронавты почувствуют не в космосе, а по возвращении на Землю, но они будут необратимыми. Фактически, люди станут инвалидами.
Но это еще не все — другой проблемой является образование камней в почках, и астронавты столкнуться с ней гораздо раньше, чем с почечной недостаточностью. К слову, о том, что в космосе в 14 раз увеличен риск возникновения камней в почках, ученым уже известно давно. Однако ранее эту проблему связывали с деминерализацией костей из-за микрогравитации. Теперь же ученые считают, что в этом отчасти виновата почечная недостаточность, которая, как выяснилось, постепенно развивается у астронавтов.
