Препарат для лечения обморожений
Ученые давно работают над созданием препарата, который мог бы лечить тяжелые обморожения, однако ни одно из них не прошло клинических испытаний. Исключением стало лекарственное средство, получившее название “Илопрост” (торговая марка Аурлюмин). Изначально оно разрабатывалось для лечения высокого давления в легких, а затем было перепрофилировано и доказало свою эффективность и безопасность в качестве средства против обморожений.
В ходе испытаний, пациенты с тяжелыми обморожениями были случайным образом распределены на две группы, одной из которых давали препарат. Результаты исследования показали, что 60% пациентов, которые не принимали «Илопрост», получили серьезные повреждения тканей, в результате чего им потребовалась ампутация. Во второй группе, которая принимала препарат, пациента обошлись без хирургического вмешательства.
Правда исследование нельзя назвать масштабным — в нем приняли участие менее 50 пациентов. Однако учитывая впечатляющие результаты и тот факт, что других методов лечения обморожения не существует, Управление по санитарному надзору за качеством пищевых продуктов и медикаментов США (FDA) одобрило препарат.

Как действует препарат против обморожений
«Илопрост» расширяет суженные кровеносные сосуды пациентов после обморожения, и при этом предотвращает возникновение тромбов. То есть, фактически, препарат восстанавливает кровообращение в поврежденных тканях. Однако это не единственный механизм его действия.
Чтобы спасти ткани, просто восстановить кровообращение в них недостаточно, так как это может нанести еще больший ущерб и усугубить повреждения. Связано это с тем, что внезапный приток кислорода с кровью вызывает сильный окислительный стресс. Это называется “реперфузионным повреждением”.
