В недавнем исследовании ученые проанализировали водоросли Chlamydomonas и сперматозоиды человека. В результате обнаружили невзаимные взаимодействия, то есть нарушающие закон физики. Оба типа клеток для передвижения в вязкой жидкости используют жгутики, которые представляют собой волосоподобные придатки. Они напоминают хвост, который позволяет им продвигаться вперед за счет изменения его формы. Однако согласно третьему закону Ньютона, этого не должно происходить. Высоковязкие жидкости должны рассеять энергию жгутика, в результате чего сперматозоиды и одноклеточные водоросли не должны двигаться вперед.

Почему же они летают? Эти насекомые используют совсем не те принципы полета, что позволяют летать самолетам. Шмелиные крылья, в отличие от крыльев самолета, изгибаются и образуют завихрения, которые обладают подъемной силой. Завихрения возникают как при взмахе крыльев, так и при их опускании.
По мнению авторов исследования, классификация микроорганизмов и клеток, способных к невзаимному движению, может быть очень важной и полезной. Подход, который они используют для движения, может быть использован в разработке небольших эластичных роботов, которые тоже смогут нарушать третий закон Ньютона.
