2023 год, стал, вероятно, худшим в индустрии кино за последнее десятилетия. И это не просто частное мнение или дело вкуса – у нынешнего упадка кинематографа есть вполне конкретные причины. Во-первых, на лицо последствия пандемии COVID-19 – из-за введенных ограничений пострадали не только графики съемок, но и посещаемость кинотетатров, которая, к слову, до сих пор не вернулась к доковидному состоянию, а приемлемую аудиторию удалось собрать лишь на премьерах «Барби» и «Оппенгеймера». Еще одним бонусом к ковиду стало развитие стриминговых сервисов. И хотя сегодня они также находятся в упадке, их удар по массовому кино был внушительным. Третьей, и пожалуй, наиболее заметной и интересной проблемой киноиндустрии стало появление нейросетей и забастовки гильдии сценаристов и актеров в США, продолжавшиеся несколько месяцев. Кинотеатры и правда в прошлом?
Опустевшие кинозалы заставляют задаваться вопросом о том, стоит ли вообще в них возвращаться. Во время пандемии формирующаяся общепринятая точка зрения гласила, что, хотя некоторые блокбастеры все еще могут привлекать в кинотеатры большую аудиторию, будущее этого вида искусства решительно асинхронно и привязано к дому. Одна из наиболее популярных точек зрения гласила, что поход в кино станет подобен чтению или прослушиванию пластинок на виниле: то есть превратится в нишевое занятие или выражение культурной позиции.

Выходит, хоть посещаемость кинотеатров сильно просела за последние несколько лет, большие экраны вряд ли канут в прошлое. Однако фильмы, на которые пойдет перенасыщенный цифровым контентом зритель, однозначно претерпят изменения. В конечно итоге кино меняется от десятилетия к десятилетию и так было всегда — фильмы радикально меняли свой размер, форму и внешний вид.
Как нейросети изменили Голливуд?
Летом этого года мы рассказывали о намерении киностудий заменить актеров второго плана искусственным интеллектом (ИИ), заплатив актерам только за один день работы. Так, первая серия шестого сезона научно-фантастического сериала «Черного зеркала» заставила киноделов поволноваться – в эпизоде показано, как технологии искусственного интеллекта заменяют актеров, а студии выкупают права на использование их изображений в производстве контента.
И да, именно так и решили поступить студийные боссы. В отместку гильдии киноактеров и сценаристов объявили забастовку, а режиссер нашумевшего «Оппенгеймера» Кристофер Нолан и вовсе сравнил развитие ИИ с созданием атомной бомбы. Конфликт продолжался несколько месяцев и привел к остановке съемок множества фильмов и сериалов.

Что же до киноиндустрии, которая изо всех сил старается идти в ногу со временем, то она неизбежно адаптируется к новой реальности, а предсказать как именно сейчас едва ли возможно. На самом деле кризис, вызванный развитием ИИ-технологий, сопровождается как желанием киноделов заработать деньги (при этом наплевав на зрителей), так и отсутствием новых идей и, разумеется, перенасыщенностью графикой и однообразным контентом.
Смерть супергероики
Одним из наиболее показательных примеров «гибели современного кино» является тотальная усталость от супергероики. Что удивительно, ведь всего пять лет назад фильмы Marvel обсуждал весь мир, а супергерои и их приключения действительно нравились зрителям. Теперь же именитая киностудия переживает не лучшие времена – 2023 год стал, пожалуй, худшим за всю историю ее существования.
Причины, по которым это произошло включают в себя общую усталость от одинаковых историй, в которых герои неизменно побеждают, набившей оскомину графикой (вряд ли мы увидим что-то лучше и масштабнее чем «Мстители» End Game) и изрядно надоевшую тему Мультивселенной, которая, к слову, свела на нет ценность персонажей и сюжетных линий. Но главное, на мой взгляд, заключается в желании студийных боссов заработать – сделав ставку на количество, а не качество, Marvel потеряли репутацию, которую зарабатывали годами.

Корейский блокбастер «Бетонная утопия» является, пожалуй, одним из лучших фильмов 2023 года
К счастью, в 2023 году были и хорошие фильмы. Среди них нашумевший «Оппенгеймер» Нолана, хоррор от Netlix «Оставь мир позади», корейский фантастический триллер «Бетонная утопия», комедийный триллер с Николасом Кейджем в главных ролях «Герой наших снов» и другие. Правда, плохих релизов, все же, было намного больше. То же самое справедливо и в отношении сериалов. Будем надеяться, что 2024 год для кинематографа будет хорошим.
