Самая быстрая техника, которая когда-либо была создана человеком — это космический аппарат Parker Solar Probe. Он был запущен в космос в августе 2018 года при помощи мощной ракеты-носителя Delta IV Heavy. Исследовательский аппарат Parker Solar Probe предназначен для изучения внешней короны Солнца. Так называется верхний, самый горячий слой атмосферы звезды. В 2020 году, спустя всего лишь пару лет со дня запуска, он приблизился к Солнцу на 13,5 миллионов километров — так близко к горячей звезде еще никто не подлетал. Расстояние между зондом и Солнцем все еще сокращается, и скоро аппарат «почти» совершит посадку на Солнце.

Самая быстрая скорость полета

В 2023 году Parker Solar Probe совершил свой 17-й облет вокруг Солнца. В это время он двигался со скоростью 635 266 километров в час — никакая другая созданная человеком техника не смогла настолько сильно разогнаться. С такой скоростью можно долететь до Луны за полчаса. А из Москвы до Санкт-Петербурга, расстояние между которыми составляет около 700 километров, полет на такой скорости займет всего лишь 4 секунды.

Солнечный зонд «Паркер» набирает рекордную скорость не только за счет мощных двигателей — ему очень сильно помогают законы физики. В основном, двигатели нужны аппарату для корректировки движения. Горючее топливо у зонда закончилось бы быстро, поэтому инженеры оснастили его солнечными батареями. Это было отличным решением проблемы с энергией, потому что зонд находится рядом с Солнцем.

Больше всего скорость набирается за счет гравитационных сил Венеры и Солнца, которые притягивают аппарат к себе. Совершая облеты, космический зонд подвергается высоким температурам — от разрушения его спасает только защитное покрытие. Техническое оснащение аппарата спрятано под щитом Thermal Protection System (TPS), который сделан так, чтобы максимально отражать выделяемое солнцем тепло. Испытания показали, что этот щит может выдержать температуру до 1650 градусов Цельсия. Это значительно больше, чем температура Солнца.

К тому же, аппарат «Паркер» пролетает над солнечной короной, которая менее плотная, чем поверхность Солнца. Из-за меньшего соприкосновения с горячими частицами, аппарат греется не так уж и сильно, чем может показаться.
