Голод позволяет быстро сжечь жир
К своему исследованию авторы работы привлекли двенадцать человек, которые не имели каких-либо проблем со здоровьем. В течение всего исследования у участников эксперимента брали кровь на анализ и изучали различные показатели, в том числе измеряли показатели 3000 различных белков.
Обобщив результаты наблюдений, ученые сообщили, что в течение первых нескольких дней организм участников эксперимента переключился на другой источник энергии — стал сжигать жир, а не глюкозу, получаемую из еды. В результате все люди за неделю в среднем потеряли 5,7 килограмма. Причем их вес сохранялся даже после того, как они прекратили голодать и начали полноценно питаться. То есть потеря веса не является временным эффектом.

Как голод влияет на организм
Ученые сильно удивились, обнаружив что в течение первых нескольких дней у добровольцев в крови не было изменений уровня белков. Показатели сохранялись на том же уровне, что и при нормальном питании. Однако сильные и резкие изменения возникли спустя три дня после начала голодовки — сотни соединений, влияющих на здоровье, начали колебаться.
Чтобы выяснить, как голодание повлияло на здоровье, авторы работы проанализировали изменения в крови добровольцев и сопоставили их с заболеваниями, с которыми они связаны. Для этого ученые обратились к генетическим исследованиям, проведенным ранее. В результате им удалось обнаружить 212 соединений плазмы, изменяющихся во время голодания, которые так или иначе влияют на здоровье.
Например, они обнаружили, что воздержание от еды более трех дней приводит к снижению уровня белка 70 в плазме, что говорит об уменьшении риска развития ревматоидного артрита. К слову, ранее ученые обнаружили, что у пациентов с ревматоидным артритом во время длительного голодания уменьшаются боли. Возможно, нынешнее исследование как минимум частично объясняет этот эффект.
