Впервые вариант BA.2.86 обнаружили в Австралии, а его наиболее вероятным предшественником считается субвариант омикрона BA.2, который бушевал по планете в начале 2022 года. И хотя появление очередного варианта коронавируса мало кого удивляет (ведь новые вирусы и их варианты появляются постоянно), ученые заинтересовались «Пиролой» из-за большого количества мутаций (опять же в сравнении с субвариантом ВА.2). Анализ, проведенный в Китае, показал, что новый штамм насчитывает более 30 мутаций в шиповидном белке, а значит может заражать намного больше людей, чем его предшественник. «Пирола» – новый вариант коронавируса
Во вторник 19 сентября Роспотребнадзор официально назвал новый штамм коронавируса «Пирола» более заразным. «Новый вариант коронавируса (BA.2.86) «Пирола» имеет ряд дополнительных мутаций по сравнению с ранее выявленными вариантами «Омикрона», и является более заразным, чем его предшественники, – сообщили в пресс-службе ведомства.
Так как все познается в сравнении отметим, что масштаб изменений в случае с «Пиролой» аналогичен изменениям между штаммами Дельта и Омикрон, которые доминировали на планете в конце 2020 года. Теперь же эксперты всерьез обеспокоены тем, что «Пирола» может обладать способностью ослаблять иммунитет от прививок или ранее перенесенных заболеваний.
Всемирной организации здравоохранения (ВОЗ) внимательно наблюдают за вариантом BA.2.86 с августа 2023 года.

Вариант «Пирола» впервые обнаружили в Дании 24 июля этого года, а в августе – в США, Канаде и Европе. К счастью, на сегодняшний день нет никаких доказательств того, что вариант BA.2.86 вызывает тяжелое течение болезни, а симптомы не сильно отличаются от предыдущих штаммов. К ним относятся:
- Высокая температура (озноб)
- Продолжительный сильный кашель
- Потеря или изменение обоняния или вкуса
- Одышка
- Слабость, повышенная утомляемость
- Ломота в теле
- Головная боль
- Боль в горле
- Насморк
- Потеря аппетита
- Диарея
При наличии симптомов и/или положительного теста на COVID-19 Центры по контролю и профилактики заболеваний (ЦКЗ) рекомендуют оставаться дома в течение пяти дней и избегать контактов с окружающими. Также необходимо регулярно мыть руки и, что немаловажно, своевременно вакцинироваться против гриппа и COVID-19.

Эпидсезон в России 2023
Несмотря на то, что «Пирола» все чаще регистрируют в разных странах мира, в России нового штамма пока нет. Об этом заявила заместитель директора по клинико-аналитической работе Центрального НИИ эпидемиологии Роспотребнадзора Наталья Пшеничная. При этом в стране уже готовы специальные тесты для его выявления а также препараты для эффективного лечения заболевания, вызываемого новым вариантом.
В Российской Федерации пока этот геновариант не обнаружен, — подчеркнула Пшеничная в эфире телеканала «Россия-24».

Отсутствие «Пирола» в России, однако, не повод расслабляться – наша страна вступает в осенне-зимний эпидсезон, особенностью которого, согласно оценкам специалистов, будут вспышки «птичьего» гриппа и, разумеется, привычного ОРВИ. По этой причине власти нескольких российских регионов уже ввели масочный режим, а в Москве, по некоторым данным, возобновляет работу ковидный госпиталь в районе Сокольники.

Больше прочего специалистов беспокоит одновременный рост случаев заболеваемости птичьим гриппом и коронавирусной инфекцией. Напомним, что в мае этого года в Москве был объявлен карантин по птичьему гриппу: соответствующий документ подписал мэр города Сергей Собянин. Причиной указан выявленный на территории района Братеево случай заражения диких птиц высокопатогенным гриппом.

Хотя введенный в столице карантин носил в первую очередь ветеринарный характер, угроза для людей реальна, так как по всему миру регистрируют все больше инфекций, пересекающих межвидовой барьер. Более того, в апреле 2023 года в Китае зарегистрировали первую смерть от птичьего гриппа.
Птичий грипп — острое инфекционное вирусное заболевание, которое вызывает поражение органов пищеварения и дыхания. Летальность достигает 56%.
Эксперты в области здравоохранения напоминают, что лучшей защитой от всевозможных респираторных заболеваний, включая грипп и COVID-19, является своевременная вакцинация.
Будет ли в России новая вспышка COVID-19?
Чтобы понять, будет ли в нашей стране новая вспышка коронавируса, стоит взглянуть на статистику: согласно последним данным с 11 по 17 сентября в России с подозрением на ковид были госпитализированы 1 973 человека, что на 20,6% больше по сравнению с предыдущей неделей. Что же до летальных исходов, то за указанный период медики подтвердили 14 случаев.
Показатель заболеваемости новой коронавирусной инфекцией за прошедшую неделю на 100 тыс. населения составил 8,2 и увеличился по сравнению с предыдущей неделей на 48,0%», — говорится на сайте «Стопкоронавирус.РФ».

На портале также указано, что в период с 21 по 27 августа было выявлено 4 020 случаев, а увеличение заболеваемости отмечено в 70 субъектах РФ. Центром распространения коронавируса остается Москва. И все же, «второе пришествие» ковида во главе с Омикроном как в 2020-2022 годы (или новым вариантом) вряд ли состоится. Более того, российские власти, по данным Интерфакс, не планируют вводить масштабные ограничительные меры, а рост заболеваемости чиновники объясняют сезонностью.
Напомним, что по данным ВОЗ, пандемия COVID-19 унесла жизни по меньшей мере 20 млн человек. Больше всего летальных случаев зарегистрировано в Индии, США, Франции и странах Латинской Америки.

Что дальше?
На момент написания этой статьи ученые не могут ответить на вопрос о том, откуда взялся новый вариант коронавируса и почему насчитывает такое значительное количество мутаций. Большинство экспертов сходятся во мнении, что вариант BA.2.86, вероятно, развивался в течение нескольких месяцев у человека с хронической инфекцией.
Отметим, что степень мутаций, которые нес вирус, беспокоила многих ученых, когда он впервые появился. Дело не в том, какое влияние на человека оказывает новый штамм, исследователей, скорее, волнует общая картина. Да, пандемия коронавируса официально окончена, однако инфекция никуда не делась и продолжает мутировать.
«Пирола» — более заразный вариант, чем его предшественники.
