Каждый день мы вдыхаем невообразимое количество микропластика
Они проследили за движением пластика начиная от полости носа и заканчивая бронхиальным деревом внутри легких. Также авторы научной работы учли, что мы с вами всегда дышим по-разному: медленно, обычно и быстро. А еще они не забыли про разные размеры пластикового мусора.
Компьютерная модель показала, что относительно крупный микропластик размером до 5 миллиметров обычно остается на слизистых оболочках носа. Средний микропластик скапливается в верхних дыхательных путях. А самые маленькие частицы (нанопластик), проникают в самые глубины человеческих легких, где находятся отвечающие за газообмен. Чем быстрее и глубже мы дышим, тем быстрее в нас проникает пластиковый мусор. И спастись от этого практически невозможно, потому что даже медицинские маски изготовлены из синтетических материалов.

Но исследователи уже работают над поиском ответ на этот вопрос. Результаты их работы, увы, неутешительные. Например, в 2023 году мой коллега Андрей Жуков рассказал, что микропластик проникает не только в пищеварительный тракт и органы дыхания человека, но и в головной мозг. В 2021 году науке стало известно, что микропластик может повышать холестерин, а это чревато серьезными проблемами с работой сердца и сосудов. В том же году ученые объявили, что крошечные частицы могут менять форму легких.
