Как вода помогает сжигать калории
“Водная диета” заинтересовала многих ученых, поэтому ее эффективность была проверена различными исследованиями. В ходе одного эксперимента исследователи проверили, как влияют 500 мл выпитой воды на организм. Для этого его авторы пригласили 14 молодых добровольцев, которые в состоянии покоя выпивали этот объем воды.
Как выяснилось, вода действительно увеличивает сжигание калорий на 24 процента. Однако эффект был очень кратковременным — длился около часа. В результате эффект от выпитой воды незначительный. Взрослый человек весом 70 кг после выпивания 500 мл воды сжигает лишь 20 лишних калорий, что равно примерно четверти печенья.
В другом эксперименте приняли участие восемь молодых человек. Как выяснилось, к увеличению расхода энергии приводит лишь употребление холодной воды. Причем количество сожженных калорий было увеличено только на 4%. Однако и этот эксперимент показал, что эффект сохраняется около часа. Скорее всего, это дополнительное сжигание энергии связано с нагревом воды до температуры тела, а также обработке большого количества жидкости почками. Да, не стоит забывать, что большое количество воды увеличивает нагрузку на почки.
Вода увеличивает количество сжигаемых калорий, но совсем незначительно
Отсюда следует, что вода действительно увеличивает количество сожженных калорий, однако на практике это не приводит к положительному результату. Даже если вы в течение дня вы выпьете лишние полтора литра воды, потратите меньше калорий, чем, например, содержится в куске хлеба. Напомним, что в среднем нормой считается потребление 1,5-2 литров воды в день, однако это средний показатель. Как мы рассказывали ранее, суточная норма воды должна рассчитываться индивидуально.
Правда, все эксперименты проводились на молодых и здоровых людях. Вполне возможно, что у пожилых людей результат будет иной. Но, чтобы выяснить это, необходимы дополнительные исследования.
Снижает ли вода аппетит
Вода заполняет желудок, а значит уменьшается его объем для пиши. Поэтому, на первый взгляд, утверждение кажется вполне разумным. Более того, этот эффект был подтвержден научными экспериментами. Именно поэтому не рекомендуется пить воду перед едой тем, кто страдает от плохого аппетита, так как это может привести к недоеданию.

Однако если говорить о потреблении воды перед едой, как о способе похудения, то картина более сложная. Одно из исследований показало что люди в возрасте, которые потребляли воду перед едой, смогли сбросить 2 кг в течение 12 недель.
Однако у молодых людей в возрасте 21-35 лет изменений в весе не произошло. С чем это связано? По мнению ученых, участники заранее знали о положительном эффекте, который должен быть от употребления воды перед едой. Поэтому некоторых из них, а именно людей в возрасте, это могло побудить ограничить себя в потреблении пищи, возможно, на подсознательном уровне.
Но почему потребление воды не помогло снизить вес молодым людям? Скорее всего, вода не дает долгосрочного эффекта. То есть, даже если в течение одного-двух приемов пищи человек потребляет меньше еды, впоследствии он компенсирует это недоедание. Кроме того, вода очень быстро выводится из желудка. Поэтому, даже если чувство голода притупляется, то не надолго.
Вода в составе супов может помочь уменьшить потребление калорий
Надо сказать, что версия о том, что вода снижает аппетит, противоречит даже эволюционной точке зрения. Если бы это действительно было так, наши древние предки просто вымерли бы от голода, ведь пить воду гораздо проще, чем добывать себе пищу. Но этого не произошло.
