В июле 2023 года в Ростовской области были подтверждены два случая заражения людей лихорадкой Западного Нила. Это заболевание характеризуется повышением температуры тела до 38-40 градусов, ослаблением организма, чувством напряжения в мышцах, болью в области глаз и появлением сыпи на коже. У некоторых пациентов симптомы полностью отсутствуют и они просто являются носителями вируса. Название болезни намекает на то, что этим заболеванием можно заразиться во время отдыха в Египте или других частях африканского континента. Однако, болезнь диагностируется даже у людей, которые не выезжали за пределы России. Как такое возможно и что нужно делать, чтобы не заразиться?

Что такое лихорадка Западного Нила
Лихорадка Западного Нила (ЛЗН) — это инфекционное заболевание, возбудителем которого является одноименный вирус из семейства Flaviviridae. Впервые эта болезнь была обнаружена в 1937 году у одной жительницы Уганды. К 1970 годам у угандийцев начал вырабатываться иммунитет против болезни, однако вирус распространился и по другим регионам Африки, а потом и по территориям за пределами этого материка.

Распространителями вируса лихорадки Западного Нила являются комары кулекс (Culex pipiens). Через их укусы вирус передается другим живым организмам — больше всего болезни подвержены люди, птицы и млекопитающие вроде летучих мышей, кошек, собак, бурундуков и так далее.

Симптомы лихорадки Западного Нила
Между моментом заражения вирусом через укус комара и возникновением первых симптомов может пройти от 3 дней до 3 недель. Заболевание начинается остро — у человека резко повышается температура до 38-40 градусов. При этом человек сильно потеет, однако это не облегчает его состояние.
Помимо повышенной температуры тела, у человека наблюдаются явные признаки отравления вроде тошноты. Болезнь также сопровождают боли по всему телу, крайне неприятные ощущения в глазах и области сердца. На поверхности кожи наблюдаются покраснения, особенно в области век.

Диагностировать лихорадку Западного Нила можно по анализам крови — обычно в них обнаруживают возбудителей заболевания. Лечение лихорадки Западного Нила
Людей с подозрением на лихорадку обязательно увозят в больницу и госпитализируют. Врачи внимательно следят за состоянием сердечно-сосудистой системы человека, артериальным давлением, частотой и глубиной дыхания и другими показателями. При возникновении каких-либо проблем их стараются как можно скорее устранить, чтобы не допустить осложнений. Вакцина против лихорадки Западного Нила все еще не создана.

Лихорадка Западного Нила в России
Впервые лихорадка Западного Нила появилась в России в 1999 году — тогда вспышка заболевания была зафиксирована в Волгоградской и Астраханской областях, а также в Краснодарском крае. Причиной вспышек считался массовый туризм россиян в страны, где чаще всего циркулировала болезнь. В период с 1999 по 2012 годы в Волгоградской области был зафиксирован 1001 случай заражения, причем 59 из них оказались смертельными. Исходя из этого получается, что новые сообщения о лихорадке Западного Нила — это не сенсационные новости, и такое уже происходило.

Как передается лихорадка Западного Нила
Примечательно, что заражение лихорадкой Западного Нила происходит не только в Египте и других жарких странах — иногда переносчики заболевания встречаются и на территории России. Чаще всего заражаются люди, которые побывали в сельской местности, недалеко от водоемов, где и размножаются насекомые. На территории России зараженные комары могли завестись из-за жары — по причине изменения климата, ареал их обитания заметно расширяется.

Лихорадка Западного Нила не передается через людей — разносчиками могут быть только комары. Исходя из этого следует, что единственным способом защиты от заражения является предотвращение комариных укусов.
