На границе Албании и Северной Македонии находится Охридское озеро, которое, согласно последним данным археологов, содержит следы древнейшей в Европе деревни. На его дне дайверы обнаружили сотни деревянных свай, выполненных из стволов деревьев. Анализ древесины показал, что возраст деревни может составлять порядка 8000 лет. Ученые пока не могут сказать какую площадь она занимала и сколько людей в ней жило, однако имеющаяся в настоящий момент информация указывает на то, что поселение было достаточно большим. Причем оно было обнесено частоколом, состоящим из десятков деревянных кольев.

Археологи обнаружили следы самого древнего в Европе поселения на дне озера
Самая древняя деревня в Европе находится на Балканах
Находка была сделана на западном берегу Охридского озера возле албанской деревни Лин. Большинство свай находятся под толстым слоем ила, но некоторые из них возвышаются над дном озера.
Окончательное исследование и анализ древесины еще не проведены. Но, как сообщает издание Live Science, сваи имеют такой же возраст, как и деревянные фундаменты, обнаруженные на берегу озера. Они были вкопаны в период между 5800 и 5900 годами до нашей эры.
Охридское озеро, на дне которого обнаружено древнее поселение
В настоящее время это поселение является самым древним из обнаруженных когда-либо археологами. Ранее ученые нашли следы “свайных поселений”, расположенных над водой, на восточном берегу озера. В настоящее время эта территория принадлежит Северной Македонии. Результаты исследования показали, что это поселение было основано на две сотни лет позже.

Полученные данные говорят о том, что деревни строились поэтапно на противоположных берегах в течение сотен лет. Но кто были люди, которые строили свайные деревни? Точно ответить на этот вопрос уже невозможно. Однако, по мнению ученых, около 8000 лет назад в Европу начали переселяться люди из Анатолии (современной Турции). Скорее всего, именно они заселяли Охридское озеро.
Как отмечают археологи, многие крупные озера в Балканском регионе содержат следы переселения людей из Анатолии. Первые такие поселения стали обнаруживать еще в 60-х годах. Но о них было очень мало информации. Сейчас же, благодаря современным технологиям, ученые могут точно датировать следы построек.
Древние деревянные сваи, на которых стояли дома
Считается, что именно анатолийцы были теми людьми, которые первыми начали заниматься в Европе сельским хозяйством. Местное же население, которое заселило Европу 45 тысяч лет назад, занималось собирательством и охотой. Предположительно, эти люди пришли из Африки через восточное побережье Средиземноморья.
Переселенцы из Анатолии скрещивались с местным населением. Кроме того, оба народа скрещивались с протоиндоевропейским кочевым народом, известном как ямники. Ранее мы рассказывали, что они первыми стали использовать лошадей для езды верхом. Современные европейские народы содержат генетическую смесь сразу трех этих народов.
Почему древние люди строили дома над водой
Как сообщают археологи, практика строительства домов на сваях над озером или болотистой местностью наблюдается по всей Европе от Балтики до Балкан. Можно предположить, что озера привлекали людей водой и растительностью. Но, что заставляло их строить дома на сваях, сейчас сказать сложно.

Можно предположить, что поселение на воде было более защищенным от врагов. Наличие частокола говорит о том, что жители поселка от кого-то огораживались. Вода, вполне возможно, служила дополнительным элементом защиты и упрощало оборону. Перемещаться же между домами древним людям, судя по всему, не составляло труда на долбленых каноэ. Однако пока нет доказательств того, что поселение строилось над водой на большой глубине или на болотистой местности. Можно допустить, что в те времена все постройки находились возле берега.
