Поселение у реки Амния в Сибири может быть не только самым северным известным фортом каменного века на Евразийском континенте, но и самой древней крепостью вообще в мире. Раскопки этого поселения ведутся еще с 80-х годов. Теперь же археологи обнаружили так называемые “домовые ямы”, окруженные насыпями и рвами. Кроме того, поселение было окружено оборонительной стеной. По мнению ученых, крепость была создана 8000 лет назад. Это говорит о том, что войны за территории велись еще в каменном веке, по крайней мере в Сибири. Однако в Европе подобные оборонительные крепости появились гораздо позже.

Во время раскопок, проведенных еще несколько десятилетий назад, ученые обнаружили остатки древнего деревянного частокола. Причем, скорее всего, им было обнесено все древнее поселение. Некоторые элементы этого забора сохранились до наших дней.
В ходе недавнего исследования группа немецко-российских археологов обнаружили около десяти ям в городище Амня-I и Амня-II, окруженных рядом насыпей и рвов. Они располагались недалеко от крепости. Ямы служили домами для древних людей. Как сообщают исследователи, поселение имело иерархическую структуру, то есть содержало защищенную внутреннюю часть за стеной, а также незащищенную внешнюю.

Яма, оставшаяся после древних людей в поселении Амния
Датирование остатков частокола и древесного угля, обнаруженного в канаве, говорит о том, что крепость была создана в последнем веке седьмого тысячелетия. Об этом исследователи сообщают в журнале Antiquity. Это говорит о том, что форт является самым древнейшим из известных. Причем исследование показало, что поселение неоднократно сжигалось до тла. Отсюда можно предположить, что 8000 лет назад на этом месте велись жестокие конфликты, что очень необычно для того периода времени.
Почему люди воевали в каменном веке
По мнению исследователей, древние войны велись за богатые ресурсы Западной Сибири. Возможно, группы охотников-собирателей стали делить территории во время глобального похолодания, которое началось около 8200 лет назад и длилось около 2000 лет.
Кроме того, в этот период времени у местных жителей, стала появляться керамика. Учитывая, что они ловили рыбу в реке Амния, охотились на лосей и северных оленей, можно предположить, что излишки складировали в керамической посуде. То есть люди могли начать накапливать высококалорийные продукты, например, рыбий жир. Вполне возможно, что форт выполнял функцию защищенного склада для этих ценных ресурсов.

Также есть еще одна теория, согласно которой крепость была построена из-за наплыва иммигрантов с юга. Группы людей приходили в северную Сибирь, в результате могли возникать межгрупповые конфликты. При этом крепость могла быть построена как пришельцами, так и местными охотниками-собирателями.
Однако независимо от того, кто построил крепость, открытие опровергает распространенную версию о том, что до развития сельского хозяйства у людей не было конкуренции, поэтому и насилие не было распространено. Согласно официальной версии, люди начали воевать за ресурсы только когда стали заниматься земледелием и скотоводством.
К слову, сельское хозяйство люди начали осваивать еще порядка 10 тысяч лет назад. Однако местные жители, которые жили в поселении Амния, не занимались сельским хозяйством. Оне делали копья и стрелы с каменными и костяными наконечниками для охоты и рыбалки.
