Кофеин, возможно, мешают обучению
Влияние кофеина на мозг
Ранее считалось, что кофеин положительно влияет на мозг человека в целом, в том числе его пластичность. Но самое главное, что он блокирует сигнальное химическое вещество аденозин, которое вызывает у нас сонливость. Благодаря этой способности кофе повышает концентрацию внимания, что улучшает способность к обучению.
Однако в недавнем исследовании сотрудники исследовательского центра нейромодуляции в больнице Батлера (США) обнаружили обратный эффект. Они проанализировали сигналы мозга, связанные с обучением и сохранением воспоминаний у 20 человек. Среди них были 16 человек которые выпивали в день от одного до пяти порций напитка с кофеином, и 4 человека, которые практически никогда не пили кофе или другие напитки с кофеином.
Все участники исследования были подвергнуты процессу стимуляции мозга, именуемому повторяющейся транскраниальной магнитной стимуляцией (rTMS). В результате этой стимуляции исследователи имитировали готовность мозга к обучению.

Почему кофеин мешает обучению
Результаты исследования указывают на то, что регулярная стимуляция мозга кофеином вызывает обратный эффект, то есть уровень пластичности снижается. Но почему это происходит? Ученые обнаружили негативное влияние кофеина у всех людей, которые пили от 1 до 5 чашек кофе (или других напитков с кофеином)
Но, следует учитывать, что данная работа является только пилотным исследованием, задача которого заключалась в том, чтобы подтвердить связь между кофеином и пластичностью мозга. В данной работе нет точных данных относительно дозировки кофеина, которая ухудшает пластичность мозга. Да и сами выводы пока нельзя назвать доказанным фактом, они лишь логически обоснованы.
Поэтому авторы работы планируют в ближайшем будущем продолжить исследование, и использовать в нем точные методы наблюдения и контроля, которые позволят определить все механизмы воздействия кофеина на мозг. Надо сказать, что многие предыдущие исследования были неоднозначными. Они показывали как положительное, так и отрицательное воздействие кофеина на мозг.
