Как вулкан повлиял на температуру на планете
В последнее время все чаще можно услышать о том, что глобальное потепление происходит независимо от деятельности человека либо антропогенный фактор играет в этом незначительную роль. Как известно, периоды глобального потепления и похолодания климата происходили на планете периодически задолго до появления человека. Например, ранее мы рассказывали, что два миллиона лет назад климат был гораздо теплее, чем сейчас. В частности, Гренландия представляла собой зеленый остров с богатой экосистемой.
Недавно ученые обнаружили, что потепление может быть связано с естественными выбросами метана, не связанными с деятельностью человека. Напомним, что метан является мощным парниковым газом. Теперь же многие стали обвинять извержение вулкана Хунга Тонга-Хунга Хаапай в аномально жарком лете. Но как такое возможно, ведь выбросы вулканов, как известно, охлаждают планету, вызывая так называемую вулканическую зиму?

Все дело в том, что вулкан Хунга взорвался под водой. В результате в атмосферу был выброшен не только вулканического пепла. Из-за контакта раскаленной магмы с водой произошел также выброс, по некоторым данным, 50 миллионов тонн пара. Напомним, что пар — это тоже парниковый газ, который способен эффективно удерживать тепло. Причем он является наиболее распространенным парниковым газом на планете.
Исследование, опубликованное в журнале Nature Climate Change показало, что после извержения в атмосфере увеличилось содержание водяного пара на 10-15%. Это самое большое увеличение пара в атмосфере за всю историю наблюдений. Кроме того, вместе с паром в атмосферу поднялись и другие парниковые газы, включая углекислый газ.

По мнению ученых, последствия извержения этого вулкана не могут изменить климат глобально, но могут повысить температуру на планете в ближайшие 5 лет. И несмотря на то, что сторонники теории антропогенного изменения климата продолжают отрицать все факторы потепления, кроме выбросов углекислого газа, влияние извержения вулкана Хунга на температуру отрицать нельзя. Однако, чтобы точно можно было сказать насколько велико влияние этого события на глобальную температуру, понадобятся дополнительные исследования.

Ранее мы рассказывали, что в этом году климатическое явление Ла-Нинья сменилось на Эль-Ниньо. При этом в годы Эль-Ниньо часто отмечается экстремально высокая температура. Кроме того, не стоит забывать, что рост температуры на планете отмечается уже многие годы. Все эти факторы наложились друг на друга, что привело к сильному и резкому повышению температуры этим летом. Причем, по некоторым оценкам, следующий 2024 год может стать еще более жарким, так как Эль-Ниньо продолжает набирать обороты.
