Луна окрашивается в красный цвет из-за преломления солнечного света
Во время затмения, Луна не исчезает полностью — на нее будто бы накладывается красноватый фильтр. Дело в том, что даже в фазе полного затмения, на Луну не перестает падать солнечный свет. Но они падают не напрямую, а проходя сквозь земную атмосферу, которая больше всего прозрачна для красно-оранжевой части спектра. Исходя из этого, синий и зеленый цвета отфильтровываются, и на Луну падает красноватый свет.

Как смотреть на лунное затмение
Чтобы лучше увидеть кровавую Луну, необходимо отдалиться от городского света. Наиболее красиво она выглядит за пределами городов, потому что там нет мешающих высоток и светового загрязнения. Само собой разумеется, наличие телескопа или бинокля в разы улучшат слежение за астрономическим явлением.

Звездопады 2023 года
Важно отметить, что кровавая Луна — это не единственное астрономическое явление, за которым можно наблюдать до конца 2023 года. В ноябре и декабре все любители астрономии смогут увидеть как минимум два звездопада.
На протяжении всего ноября 2023 года можно будет наблюдать за метеорным потоком Леониды. В виде «падающих звезд» нам будут видны сгорающие в земной атмосфере осколки кометы Темпеля-Туттля. Сгорающие метеоры будут вылетать из созвездия Льва — о том, как быстро находить созвездия на ночном небе, мы рассказывали в статье «Самый красивый звездопад 2023 года». Пик звездопада Леониды состоится в ночь с 17 на 18 ноября.

А с 4 по 17 декабря все желающие смогут наблюдать за звездопадом Геминиды. Он возникает из-за сгорания в земной атмосфере шлейфа от астероида Фаэтон, который раньше был кометой. Падающие звезды будут вылетать из созвездия Близнецов. В ночь с 13 на 14 декабря Геминиды будут видны лучше всего.
Жители России в 2023 году стали свидетелями многих интересных явлений космоса и природы. Например, в апреле жители Москвы, Санкт-Петербурга, Казани и множества других городов смогли вживую увидеть северное сияние.
