Ученые обнаружили под поверхностью Луны несколько слоев
Поверхность Луны имеет слоистую структуру
Марсоход Чанъэ-4 прилунился на обратной стороне Луны в 2019 году, где проводил исследования в течение нескольких лунных дней. Причем благодаря проникающему низкочастотному радару, он смог изучить недра спутника на достаточно большой глубине. Принцип его работы такой же, как у любого другого радара — он посылает сигнал в недра планеты. Сигнал отражается и возвращается назад, в результате чего улавливается приемником, установленным на борту марсохода.
Международная группа ученых тщательно изучила данные о недрах спутника. На глубине 40 метров они не обнаружили ничего необычного, кроме кратера, который был засыпан грунтом и почвой, выброшенной в результате других ударов рядом с кратером. Но ниже 90 метров радар марсохода показал нечто гораздо более интересное — несколько слоев, отличающихся друг от друга. Они находятся на глубине около 300 метров. Причем на разной глубине толщина слоев разная — чем глубже расположен слой, тем он толще.

По мнению исследователей, скорее всего неоднородность грунта связана с многократными извержениями базальта, происходившими миллиарды лет назад. Уменьшение толщины слоев, которое наблюдается ближе к поверхности, является тому подтверждением. Постепенно внутренняя тепловая энергия Луны истощалась, в результате чего мощность извержений уменьшалась. То есть на поверхность выбрасывалось все меньше и меньше магмы.
Согласно официальной версии, на Луне вулканическая активность связана с тепловой энергией. Напомним, что на Земле причиной вулканов являются процессы в земной коре. При столкновении друг с другом одна тектоническая плита может погружаться под другую, при этом магма выталкивается на поверхность. На Луне же, как мы знаем, тектонических плит нет.
Сколько раз извергались вулканы на обратной стороне Луны
Как сообщают исследователи, самые нижние слои имеют ширину до 70 метров, а тонкие, расположенные у поверхности — до 5 метров. Ученым удалось идентифицировать не менее трех-четырех мощных потока лавы. Причем они располагались довольно близко друг к другу, то есть между слоями базальта имеется тонкий слой лунного грунта. Это говорит о том, что извержения происходили с небольшим промежутком времени. Об этом авторы работы сообщают в журнале Journal of Geophysical Research: Planets
Когда-то на Луне активно извергались вулканы
По мнению исследователей, они изучили особенности недр кратера Фон Карман, внутри которого проводил свои исследования луноход Чанъэ-4, как это делают марсоходы. Но когда вообще происходили извержения под поверхностью кратера?
К сожалению, дистанционное зондирование не может дать ответ на этот вопрос. Оно говорят лишь о том, что вулканическая активность спутника постепенно уменьшалась в связи с потерей тепловой энергии, как было сказано выше.

Однако эти выводы противоречат данным с лунохода Чанъэ-5. Он обнаружил, не только то, что вулканы на Луне извергались дольше, чем предполагалось ранее, Но и усиление вулканической активности с течением времени, о чем сообщалось в журнале Nature. Но как можно объяснить такие разногласия в результатах исследований?

По мнению некоторых экспертов, данные радара не являются абсолютно достоверными. То есть нельзя сказать точно что это за слои, откуда они взялись и существуют ли вообще. Вполне возможно, что они являются системным шумом. Но, скорее всего, в ближайшее время ученым все же удастся найти ответы на все вопросы, оставшиеся без ответа.
