Археологи обнаружили тысячелетнее славянское захоронение, в котором умершие были похоронены с оружием и драгоценностями. В этом ничего удивительного нет, однако помимо артефактов в некоторых могилах были деревянные ведра, одетые на ноги захороненным людям. Кроме того, на шее у женщин были большие кольца. Если ведра вызывают у ученых вопросы, то кольцам есть объяснение — скорее всего они служили социальным маркером. При жизни их люди вряд ли не носили. Кроме того, археологи обнаружили множество других изделий, а также каменный алтарь и следы жертвоприношений. Но пока неизвестно, кому принадлежали все эти находки — христианам или язычникам, так как кладбище функционировало в переходный момент от язычества к христианству.

Древнее славянское кладбище
Захоронение, о котором идет речь, было обнаружено в 50 километрах к югу от Киева. Работы здесь велись в период с 2017 по 2022 год. Кладбище включает в себя более 100 могил, большинство из которых содержат деревянные гробы. Среди захороненных есть как мужчины, так и женщины. Многие из мужчин, судя по всему, были воинами, так как были похоронены с оружием — топорами, мечами и наконечниками копий.
Особенно удивительным было наличие деревянных ведер у ног похороненных. Однако в этом регионе ранее уже были обнаружены захоронения с ведрами на ногах. Очевидно, этот аксессуар был частью погребального ритуала. Но пока неясно, что символизировало ведро и какую задачу выполняло. Напомним, что многие необычные погребальные ритуалы имеют объяснения. Например, покойным клали камень в рот, так боялись, что они восстанут в виде зомби.

Как уже было сказано выше, археологи обнаружили браслеты, бусы и другие некоторые артефакты. Кроме того, рядом с кладбищем был найден каменный алтарь и остатки пищевых подношений, о чем свидетельствует яичная скорлупа и куриные кости. По мнению ученых, алтарь мог использоваться как для христианских, так и для языческих ритуалов, а возможно и для того и другого, о чем сообщает издание LiveScince.
Как уже было сказано выше, кладбище функционировало как раз в тот период, когда Русь только переходила от язычества к христианству. Киевский князь Владимир Великий имел языческие корни, но впоследствии оставил их и крестился в 987 году до женитьбы на Анне, сестре византийского императора Василия II, которая, разумеется, была христианкой. В 988 году он начал крещение Руси — отдал вечером приказ киевлянам явиться утром на реку для купания, где они были крещены.
Обнаруженное кладбище могло использоваться при Владимире великом, правившим с 980 по 1015 годы., и при Ярославе Мудром, царствовавшем с 1019 по 1054 годы. Поэтому сложно сделать выводы относительно ритуалов, которые использовали древние люди.

На древнем кладбище под Киевом могли хоронить балтов?
Пока нет четкой уверенности в том, что захоронение принадлежало местному населению. Дело в том, что некоторые из артефактов были аналогичны найденным ранее в Прибалтике. Отсюда можно сделать вывод о том, что некоторые люди, похороненные на кладбище, были выходцами из прибалтийского региона. Вполне возможно, что они служили в войсках киевских правителей. Напомним, что территория Руси, которой правил Владимир Великий, простиралась до Прибалтики.
Правда, все эти предположения пока не имеют доказательств. Чтобы сделать окончательные выводы, необходимы дополнительные исследования. Однако на данный момент все раскопки и археологические исследования приостановлены.
