В мире упала рождаемость
Пока еще на планете отмечается рост численности населения, однако он самый медленный с 1950 года. Причем скорость роста численности населения начала резко падать с 2020 года. На первый взгляд это странно, ведь в последние десятилетия медицина активно развивается, в результате чего средняя продолжительность жизни увеличивается.
Однако, согласно ежегодному отчету ООН, две трети населения живут в странах, где рождаемость ниже 2,1 на женщину. Этот показатель ниже воспроизводительной рождаемости, при которой численность населения остается неизменной, так как два человека имеют двух детей, которые их заменят.

В мире наблюдается снижение рождаемости
Надо сказать, что низкая рождаемость в сочетании с улучшенной медициной приводит к еще одному негативному эффекту — увеличивается средний возраст населения. Ярким примером служит Япония, где средний возраст населения уже составляет 49 лет и постоянно увеличивается. При этом численность населения сильно сокращается последние 15 лет. Еще хуже ситуация в Монако, где средний возраст населения уже достиг 55 лет.
Если рождаемость будет сохраняться в течение нескольких десятилетий на нынешнем уровне, то до 2050 года особых последствий этого явления не будет. Однако в конечном итоге численность людей на планете начнет уменьшаться более быстрыми темпами, так как пожилые люди будут умирать, а молодых людей будет становиться все меньше. Это окажет серьезные последствия на разные сферы жизни, включая экономику.
